Aerial imaging

applying the science of high resolution aerial imaging

Know every square-inch. High-resolution drone technology, applied to your exploration and mining projects.

Professional mapping services

High-resolution Images We use fully autonomous drone technology to capture high-resolution aerial photos which are transformed into accurate 2D orthomosaic images and 3D models.

Professional High-resolution Mapping Advanced mapping software is used to transform aerial imagery into geo-referenced, real colour 2D orthomosaic images, 3D point clouds, triangle models and Digital Elevation Models (DEMs).

Accuracy Our drone is capable of 1.5 cm accuracy if desired which makes typical mapping resolution of 5-10 cm ground resolution a breeze! Orthomosaic images and 3D model are typically accurate to 5 cm accuracy with the use of ground control points (GCPs), however, GCPs are not necessary for most exploration mapping jobs which makes this technology an excellent choice a multitude of uses, from reconnaissance mapping to highly accurate cut and fill applications in mining.

About

Batson Consulting Service (“BatsonCS”) is owned and operated by Benjamin Batson.

Benjamin earned a degree specific to mineral exploration in Geological Engineering from Queen’s University. He is a Professional Geologist registered in the Provinces of Ontario (APGO), Quebec (OGQ), and Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIM), the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) and other professional organizations relating to the exploration and mining of minerals in Canada. Benjamin is also a Professional Engineer registered with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).

Benjamin maintains the offices of Vice President Exploration for Conquest Resources Limited, Minco plc and a private exploration company. He has worked continuously in mineral exploration since 2006 in orogenic gold and volcanogenic-hosted massive sulphide environments across Canada and the southwest United States of America.

Benjamin is an expert in modelling terrain and geological resource both on paper and using computer software suites such as GEMS, ArcMap, AutoCAD and Geosoft. In the early stage development of mineral exploration projects, high-resolution imagery is used to create digital elevation models that in turn are used in 3D visualizations. These models and visualizations are made possible with the use of BatsonCS high resolution aerial imaging.

High-resolution imaging together with regional and local geology, geophysics contouring, drill hole results and various geological databases, are used to interpret geology and plan for programs in advanced stages of mineral exploration and resource/deposit definition.

Benjamin is a qualified professional within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101 (“NI-43-101”) for base metal and gold deposit geology.
